Directions for Grounding Meditation
1. Begin with Relaxation
- Find a comfortable position. If possible, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, evenly balancing your weight. If standing isn’t comfortable, sit or recline with your feet flat on the ground.
- Take several deep breaths. As you exhale, let all the tension leave your body.
2. Visualize Your Connection
- Close your eyes and visualize yourself where you are—standing or sitting—and become aware of the air on your skin and the solid ground beneath your feet.
- Breathe deeply and evenly. With each breath, imagine the surrounding energy entering your body and gathering at your core.
3. Grow Roots into the Earth
- Shift your focus to your feet. Visualise them sinking into the Earth, stretching downward like the roots of a great tree.
- Picture your roots pushing deeper and deeper into the moist, cool soil, reaching toward the energetic core of the Earth.
4. Extend Your Branches to the Sky
- Imagine your arms stretching upward like branches of a tree. See them grow strong, adorned with green leaves that reach for the Sun.
- As the energy from the Sun flows into your leaves, visualize it travelling down your branches, into your sturdy trunk, and swirling at your centre.
5. Reclaim Your Energy
- Reflect on where your energy might be scattered. Is it with friends, family, or your responsibilities? Call it back.
- Imagine your energy returning through your leaves, transformed into pure, white light. See it flowing through your branches into your core, swirling and pulsing beautifully.
6. Release Excess Energy to the Earth
- If the energy becomes overwhelming, send the excess down through your roots into the Earth. The Earth will transform it into life-giving energy, which you can draw upon whenever you need it.
7. Reconnect with Yourself
- Ask yourself again: Where is your energy? Has it been scattered at work, school, or in daily tasks?
- Pull all your energy back to you, letting it transform into pure white light as it flows through your branches into your centre.
8. Prepare for Action
- Slowly draw back your branches, letting them transform back into arms and fingers. Keep the connection with the sky, but feel yourself grounded and human again.
- Draw in your roots, letting them become feet once more. Stand firmly on the Earth, feeling strong and ready to act.
9. Open Your Eyes
- Take a deep breath and open your eyes. You are fully grounded, centred, and prepared to carry out your Will.
